moving stories

Michael Hawk's time-based art, in form of panel works
and extended physical installations, sketch basic stories of life -
changing forms as results of elementary impacts. After Hamburg
and Berlin, the artist is working on new projects in the Lower Saxony
countryside in Germany. Most current are his VISUAL MANTRAS
- motion loops processed from photographs and digital stills.

Die bewegte Bildkunst von Michael Hawk, für Monitore
und als physische Installationen, zeichnen elementare Geschichten
der Evolution als Formungen unterschiedlichster Kräfte über Zeit.
Nach Hamburg und Berlin entwickelt Hawk im Niedersächsischen
neue Projekte wie VISUAL MANTRAS – prozessierte Bildschleifen
von Fotografien und digitalem Bildmaterial als Quellen.
